And Cameron wanted Gabrielle.
And Marla wanted Braden.
And Cole wanted Gabrielle.
And Mrs. Mason wanted Braden.
And an anonymous letter writer wanted to keep Gabrielle and Braden apart.
Together Gabrielle and Braden discovered many important things, like which doors at the courthouse actually locked, and that desks could be useful for more than writing. They also found out that the path of love was not always smooth, and it was sometimes tread upon by some really wacky people, like a confused fanny grabber, an eighty-two year old pothead and a gentleman who threw a wine and cheese party in his pants. Could true love overcome a lack of privacy, interference by jealous rivals and the insanity of the criminal court system?

Plus you get to go back to it if you really loved it, and you’re never going to make that chocolate bar come back. So go on, grab one of them before your sugar craving kicks in. 😉

A Day In The Life Of…Hedonist Six!

Happy Wednesday, folks! Today will be Writing Tip Wednesday, but first we have a fabulous ‘A Day In The Life Of…’ post from the fabulous Hedonist Six! Enjoy! 🙂

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF…HEDONIST SIX!

WAKE UP! WAKE UP! WAKE UUUUUUUUUPPPPPPP!

And so I do, almost. Clumsily feeling around the bed, underneath my pillow, accidentally elbowing the hubby while trying to locate my phone to turn off the infernal Crazy Frog Alarm still ringing in my ears. There are probably less annoying ringtones I could use to get me out of bed in the morning. None of the others are quite so effective in discouraging me from simply giving it five more minutes though.

It doesn’t take me long to get ready, because if it did, I’d miss out on even more glorious sleep. This might be weird for a writer, but I absolutely do not suffer from insomnia. Quite the opposite actually, I often find myself nodding off on the sofa in the evening. Getting the time for an afternoon nap at the weekends is my idea of heaven.

But it’s not weekend yet, and I’d better get moving. Phone, keys, obligatory return into the bedroom to kiss sleepy husband’s cheek and give him a little cuddle. He doesn’t let go of my arm and I’m stuck for a moment. I’m late, you idiot.

By the time I pull out of the drive and turn the radio on loud, I’m pretty much awake. I’m in the driving zone which lasts roughly an hour, after that I’ll be useless without my first dose of caffeine for the day. The new Arctic Monkeys song comes on, god I love it. I’m ready for today.

“Morning!” I say while dumping my stuff behind my desk and switching my PC on.

I’m two minutes early and yet the last one to reach. Tea is already in progress, needing rescue from overbrewing. Some people just don’t get tea, despite drinking it every damn day.

Back at my desk, steaming mug in hand, it’s time to catch up. While my emails load, I take a quick peek at Facebook, only to quickly minimise the browser window and shiftily look around towards the engineer who can see my screen from his desk. Did he see the naked guy in my newsfeed? Whew, he must’ve missed it or I’d most definitely get a remark about it by now.

My To-Do list is longer than I’m willing to acknowledge and still doesn’t quite cover it all. By 11, I’m alerted to a problem with an urgent shipment, courtesy of one of the huge international couriers, which takes up hours of the rest of my day. Meanwhile, the same engineer who has front row seats to my PC  gets up and stands beside me. Without giving it much of a second thought, I automatically extend my hand over the chocolate bar on my desk. He always goes for the food first.

This quick reaction seems to frustrate him, so he takes my phone away instead. I expect to retrieve that later with the screen unlock feature enabled, meaning I won’t be able to use it until he fixes it again. Still, I suppose it’s a step up from being restrained in my chair with packaging tape, because that has happened before.

“Can’t we send him away somewhere?” I ask.

The boss lady looks up momentarily from her laptop. “I’m working on it.”

Being an only child, I imagine this is the closest I’ll get to finding out what it’s like to have an irritating brother, even if he might like to think of our relationship in a slightly different light. (Guys, incessantly teasing a girl you like is not a viable flirting technique and will get you friend-zoned at best! Even if she’s not already married.)

Surprisingly he gives up on his phone snatching plan and instead starts to argue it’s my turn to make tea, leaves his cup on my desk and goes for a cigarette break. Oh well, I could use a moment away from being on hold with a call centre that can’t help me anyway.

Lunchtime provides a reasonable moment of peace to catch up with some friends online, and stare blankly at the WIP that has been bothering me for weeks now. I decide to procrastinate by reading a few blogs that will in no way help me finish my book.

At 2, the afternoon staff meeting requires our entire workforce to congregate in the meeting room; of a very crowded *cough* seven, two are away on business. Topics up for discussion are the fucking recession, various project updates and a few innuendos thrown in for good measure.

By 4 pm, the missing shipment has been located and I’m drained. My To-Do list is even longer than when I started this morning, but at least one matter has been resolved.

A few of us meet by the kettle to discuss upcoming weekend plans. The other (non-annoying) engineer is going camping. This amuses us greatly, considering his questionable choices for camping locations in the past; once in North London and another time next to Gatwick Airport. We never actually got to the bottom of how those crackpot plans came into being, but that might just diminish their entertainment value anyway.

The day has been long, but while the work is boring as usual, at least I can consider myself lucky to be surrounded by up to seven (usually fewer) people I don’t detest. I suppose it’s not surprising my longest story so far has been about an office romance. Don’t a lot of us spend an unnatural amount of time in environments such as these, if perhaps more stressful versions filled with politics and intrigue?

Out of nowhere an idea for my WIP starts to develop, allowing me sit down and bang out a few words until 5:45pm, while excitedly sharing this latest epiphany with a writer friend in chat. The boss probably wonders why I regularly stay a little late, sometimes smiling at my monitor, often peering into it with intense focus and forgetting the world around me. She doesn’t ask about it though, as if she knows it’s a necessity which cannot easily be explained.

When it’s finally time to go home, I put the stereo on, singing along loudly and out of tune as I leave the rows of terraced houses, shops and heavy traffic behind, getting ever closer to home.

“Hey, how was your day?” I ask, met by a shrug and unintelligible noise. Same old then, as was mine.

I decide to sit down for a bit, head resting against his shoulder, watching the rest of The Simpsons. I’ve no idea what to cook yet, but it’ll probably come to me when I head into the kitchen. Or not, in which case there’s always a plan b; take-out.

Tonight I have neither the will nor the opportunity write anymore though. Evenings are for us to spend as a couple and to unwind before following the exact same routine the next day.

Regular like clockwork, my eyelids start to feel weighted around 11, but I force myself to stay up for another half hour. It’s almost the weekend, and I can’t wait. There are a couple of muses in my head now, and their story deserves attention beyond what a fulltime job allows most of the week. Come Saturday though, I’m hopeful to get a few hours alone in the morning which will serve me just right.

H5

Call me “H.” or Hedonist if you prefer. I’m a Romance and Erotica author based in London and I’ve always been a dreamer. You’ll not find flowery language and poetry in my work. What you will find though is believable characters, none of whom perfect, going through life and trying to find happiness. Just like the rest of us.

Recurring themes you’ll find in my work:
Contrast; big / small (BHM/FFA), rich / poor, older / younger, experienced / not so much. Especially the first in the list; I like big men, as I know a lot of women do but may feel awkward admitting it. We’re not doing ourselves and the men we’re attracted to any favours by keeping quiet though!
Confident, self-assured women who aren’t afraid to follow their hearts.
Sorry, but I just don’t get BDSM, so I won’t be writing about it. I’m sure you’ll be able to find plenty of other authors happy to cater to your tastes.
Emotional conflict, insecurities and awkwardness; it excites me to throw my characters into uncomfortable situations and watch them come out stronger at the end of it!

Destined to be together, but repeatedly torn apart, these two lost and melancholy people draw the attention of the Goddess Fate. As Quinn and Jacob’s lives hang in limbo, the soul mates are given a very special gift from the Gods, and the chance to finally have their love of a lifetime.

The Excerpt-Adults Only!!!!

His eyes found hers once again and she began to fall. She didn’t care. Thoughts of going back or staying there on The Island disappeared. All she wanted to think about, to feel, and taste was Jacob. Quinn pulled his mouth back to hers. The sweet taste of the berries, mango, and papaya dazzled her taste buds as their tongues teased and danced with each other, fighting for control one moment and surrendering to each other the next.

Jacob finally freed her tits from the laces of her bodice. Watching him tug at the strings with his teeth made her heart beat faster and she giggled before she could stop. He winked and kept up the slow pace. Quinn giggled even more. “I stand by my first assessment. You’re a tease, Jake.”

“Baby doll, you haven’t seen anything yet.” He pushed her dress down to her waist and simply stared. “I’m not the only tease here.”

“What are you talking about?” Quinn slid her fingertips up and down his arms. His muscles twitched and pulsed at her touch. She wanted those arms wrapped around her and to never let go.

“You are the most beautiful woman I’ve ever met. You don’t flaunt it, but every move and noise you make turns me on. I wanted to take this slow, but I can’t.”

“Stop thinking so much and kiss me.” She pushed herself up to meet his mouth once again as they moved on the bed so she was now on top of him. Jacob’s hands slid up her thighs, leaving hot trails with his fingertips. Her body quaked and her pussy clenched as a rush of fluid soaked her panties completely.

Jacob hooked his thumbs in the band of her underwear, snapped them off, and tossed them onto the floor. His hands slid up her body, pulling the dress up and over her head in a flash. He sat up, holding her in his lap, nuzzling first one breast and then the other with his stubbly chin and cheeks. The roughness of his skin against her rock-hard nipples sent her rolling toward another orgasm. She clung to him as he suckled harder on her right nipple while kneading her left breast with his hand. Quinn arched her back and bit her lip before crying out. “Jake, please don’t—”

He pulled back quickly, moving his hands to cradle her face. Concern filled his eyes. “Did I hurt you?”

Her eyes glistened with tears. “No. Please don’t stop.”

* * * *

The catch in her voice nearly broke his heart. The raw passion was there. Her body given freely to him, and yet she still questioned his desire for her. He knew that pain all too well. Here with Quinn though, it all faded away. She did that for him and he wanted so badly to do the same for her. He wiped away the tears that spilled onto her flushed face. He kissed her softly and held her close. “I want you, now and for however long we can be together. I need to be with you. I won’t stop as long as you want the same.”

Quinn slid off his lap and knelt up on the bed, pulling him up with her. She held his gaze as her fingers unfastened his shorts and then slid them down over his hips. Jacob quickly took off his tank top before crushing Quinn’s chest against his. She smiled and his heart beat quickened. “I need you, too. Make love with me, Jake.”

He slid out of his shorts as Quinn eased back onto the pillows. Jacob took in her entire sun-kissed body, naked before him. God, she’s so beautiful. Quinn welcomed him into her arms as he joined her on the pillows, his mouth finding her left nipple this time as his right hand trailed down her stomach.

She arched her back and moaned as soon as his fingers found her throbbing clit. Another wave of fluid gushed out of her and over his fingers. Jacob brought them up to his mouth to taste her. “Mmmm. You taste fucking fantastic. Your sister was right. Wanna try?”

Quinn giggled and licked his fingers clean. That move sent his body over the edge. His cock was bouncing with his need for her, a fact that didn’t go unnoticed by his lover. She reached inside the nightstand for the box of condoms, spilling several over the bed. Jacob smiled as he placed one in her open palm. Quinn slid her hands down his abs to his pulsing member. She wrapped her fingers around his shaft and squeezed a little, eliciting a gasp from him. Carefully she tore open the wrapper with her teeth and quickly covered his cock with the ribbed latex sheath. He thrust his hips forward, causing her hand to slide up and down his shaft. “Oh, now who’s teasing?” Jacob moaned.

He eased Quinn all the way back onto the pillows, and slid down her body toward his prize. He wanted more than just a taste. He wanted to feast on her cunt until she begged for him to take her. He positioned himself between her thighs and looked up to see her watching him, her chest rising and falling rapidly. He winked before popping her clit into his mouth and sucking hard. Quinn nearly bucked him off but he held her hips in place, enjoying her squirming and sighs. It wasn’t long at all before he was rewarded once again with her sweet nectar.

He teased her a bit more with his tongue and then slipped one, two and then three fingers inside of her hot folds. Her pussy clenched repeatedly over his fingers and her body convulsed over and over again. Quinn’s skin flushed from her tits to her toes, because of him, because of what he was doing to her. He wanted more, so much more. He couldn’t wait any longer. He wanted to bury his cock deep inside her, go over the edge, and never come back.

And now the interview! Hold onto your panties, people–and some ice! O_O

Today, I thought I would change gears a bit and interview the villainess of Tammy’s new book. You first learned about her briefly in For the Love of Quinn. Some of you may recall the mention of Julia Santos as the cause for Jacob’s near fatal motorcycle accident. What the hell did she do to be blamed for that? We won’t get all of the story until the third book in Tammy’s Now and Forever series called The Surrender of Julia. Until then, I’ve invited the wickedly beautiful self-proclaimed villainess to join me today here so she can tell her side of the story.  Welcome, Ms. Santos.

Thank you, Lia. Please. Call me Julia.

Okay, Julia. 🙂

Wickedly beautiful? You are quite stunning yourself. In fact you, you remind me of another curvaceous woman in my life.

(Now I’m blushing. Sheesh! What sort of vixen blushes at the slightest compliment?  Tammy isn’t going to ever let me live this one down!) You wouldn’t happen to be talking about the love of your life, now would you?

Maybe. Just so you know, if she wasn’t in my life, I would be all over you in a heartbeat.
(Julia licks her lips and squirms in her seat a little bit.) There is nothing like the feel of a woman’s curves under your fingertips.

Uh huh. hmmm…I bet that comes in handy when you create your sculptures. The feel of a woman’s curves I mean.

Definitely. You can’t create something so visual if you haven’t experienced the passion you are trying to depict. Take Rodin’s The Kiss, for example. When you look at that sculpture, you FEEL a part of it. You can feel his arms around you, his lips on yours, and your breath leaving you as you surrender completely to the moment.

That’s exactly what I felt when I saw this sculpture for the first time and some of your own pieces. I heard your model was Jacob Hartley. How did the two of you meet?

I was at a club in Los Angeles about 15 years ago with some friends. I noticed a group of people celebrating someone’s graduation. I was immediately drawn to Jacob. He looked comfortable in his own skin. I loved that. Many people act awkwardly when they are in large groups. Not Jacob. His entire demeanor exuded confidence and he was the hottest man in the place. I wanted him, even if it was just for a quickie in the bath room, I wanted to feel his hands all over my body.

I’ve met him. I can totally understand your animal attraction. When he walks into the room, all eyes are on him, but he doesn’t know it. In fact, if you point it out to him, he laughs it off and asks you how much you’ve had to drink.

Exactly! Jacob oozes raw sex and I wanted to capture that in my art. A few days after the night at the club, I showed up at his hotel room in nothing but my high heels and very skimpy lingerie. I convinced him he had what I wanted as my model.

How did you convince him to say yes? I’m sure I can guess. If you showed up on my doorstep dressed in high heels and lingerie, I would do anything you asked.

Have you ever been with two women, Lia? The more I talk to you, the more I would like to introduce you to my girlfriend, Carmen. She’s my Mistress as well. I’m thinking she’d love to take you in hand…

Oh my…sorry. I couldn’t resist. 😉

Carmen is much more than Christian Grey could ever hope to be. Come with me after the interview. I have to pick her up at the airport. She’ll be so surprised.

I’m not sure. I don’t want to intrude. (Now it’s my turn to squirm. It’s been my fantasy to be taken in hand, so to speak.) Why don’t we jump right to the question all of us want to know? Were you the cause of Jacob’s accident?

(Julia lowers her eyes a moment before answering.) Yes. I’m afraid I was. I mean, he did catch me in our bed with another man.

Whoa! In the bed the two of you shared? That’s pretty cold.

Yes, it was. Not that I intended for that to happen, but it did. I knew I wasn’t the one for Jake. I realized it after the first few months we were together, but I loved being with him. He brought out all of my artist instincts. I needed him to be my muse. He was that and so much more to me, but I couldn’t give him what he really wanted.

And what was that?

A happily ever after. I couldn’t give him my heart. It belonged to another.

Apparently too many others according to Tammy’s notes. You really get around there, Julia!

True. I was never what one would call a wallflower. I love sex with both men and women. Sometimes with both at the same time. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that as long as everyone involved are consenting adults.

You’ll get no argument from me on that point, but if you had Jake why did you continue to have sex with other people? Did you ever involve him in these encounters?

(A sly smile spreads slowly across her face as she sighs.) Yes I did. It was his idea actually. We had several nights with my assistant. She was always panting after him so I thought it would be fun to help fulfill a fantasy or two for her.  Jake and I both took turns pleasuring her. She was a complete vanilla if you know what I mean. Not that there’s anything wrong with being vanilla, but there are so many different flavors to taste. 😉 I have to say we taught her a few things over those days and I wanted to explore more with her. Unfortunately, she couldn’t keep her mouth shut about it.

What do you mean?

She blabbed about it to another lover of mine while he took her on top of my desk at the gallery. Apparently she felt she could sample from all of my lovers. Ha! She didn’t choose wisely if you ask me. He wasn’t one to keep a secret either. He took great pleasure informing me of their tryst. From what he told me, she couldn’t walk well for a week afterwards. In his dreams if you ask me.

Is this the same lover that holds your heart?

Not a chance in hell, but if you hear him tell it we were engaged and planning our wedding. Ugh! What a nightmare that one was! Let’s just say it took me a while to figure out I was trying to turn Jake into this other person. Although he loved me and I cared for him deeply, I couldn’t return his love. Mine belonged to this other person from the moment we first met.

Would you say this person is your happily ever after?

Yes. Yes, she most definitely is my happily ever after.  You still haven’t answered my question about going with me to pick her up at the airport.

So it’s your current girlfriend, Carmen who’s your always and forever? (Julia nods and smiles.) I’m not sure it would be a good idea for me to go with you.

Didn’t you say you would do anything I asked if I showed up on your doorstep in high heels and lingerie? What about if I showed up to the interview like this? Is this what you had in mind for your fantasy, mi amor? Carmen has a matching outfit all in hot pink leather…

About the Author

author

As far back as I can remember I have had two dreams: become a veterinarian and a world-famous author. So far I achieved the first one and have enjoyed a wonderful career as a small-animal veterinarian. But something has always been missing. I’ve never stopped writing; that has never been an issue. The problem was getting up the nerve to actually finish one of my novels and submit it to a publisher. What a scary thought to send a stranger something I had poured my heart into. Would they like it? Would they see the characters the way I saw them in my head? Writing For the Love of Quinn was like giving birth to my first child. I had to let my characters go to see if they would take off, and boy have they ever!

Jacob and Quinn’s story is far from over. They’ll pop in from time to time to check in with their friends and family in the next books in the Now and Forever series. They got their happily ever after, and now it’s time for the others to find theirs, too!

Having grown up in Michigan and now living in Northern California, I have had the privilege to experience life in a small town and a big city. Everyone who I’ve met along the way has influenced my writing in one way or another. Their experiences as well as my own help make up the characters that I hold near and dear to my heart. Helping them find the loves of their lives as well as fulfilling a few fantasies along the way is just frosting on the cake!

Interview and Review with Shiralyn Lee

Gooood morning everyone! Another Tuesday, and another amazing author interview! Today I have the lovely Shiralyn Lee with me, along with my review of her novel, Pink Crush! Enjoy! 😀

I began to write in 2006. After the frustration of my favourite lesbian shows ending and nothing replacing them I needed to fill the void. My wife challenged me to do something about it so I did. I began to write my own lesbian story with my first book Loving the Pink Kiss. It is mostly based on my life, apart from the immigration scam, and then I turned it into a comedy. After that I wrote Pink Crush, about a female firefighter, this one leans toward the drama section. After that I wrote several shorts and all of my work is erotic. Some stories are based on BDSM, these are explicit. I love writing about sex and when I am asked, ‘why sex’ my answer is, ‘why not!’

Hello Shiralyn, it’s a pleasure to have you here, welcome to my blog!

Thank you for the chance to share my life.

As everyone knows in my interviews-random question first! Your first novel is a comedy, do you have any comedic inspiration that you use?

I use life itself, so many funny and stupid things have happened to me and my friends so I took the opportunity to induce them into my book.

Your first novel, Loving the Pink Kiss, sounds really interesting. Can you tell us more about it?

This book is based on my life, apart from the immigration scam that is. Sarah has drunkenly agreed to go ahead with a marriage of convenience to a total stranger. She meets this stranger at the registry office just before she is to wed them. She is now face to face with a woman, yes that’s right a same sex marriage. Sarah had failed to take in any details. She goes ahead with the scam and then soon realises that she is falling in love with her spouse Robbie. Sarah is a very testing person and has to fight for what she wants as Robbie has a little baggage of her own that she needs to get rid of.

So what inspired this novel?

This novel came about because I grew agitated and frustrated when my favourite lesbian TV shows ended. I had withdrawal symptoms so my wife challenged me and said, “Do something about it then.” Yes that’s right I’m a lesbian if you hadn’t guessed by now. 🙂

Why do you write in the genre you’ve chosen?

Being a lesbian is the main reason but also there’s not that much out there for lesbians. We are starving for lesbian dramas and comedies.

If your book was made into a film, who would play your main characters, and why?

If Loving the Pink Kiss was turned into a film, I would choose Isla Fischer to play Sarah, she just has that same quirkiness about her, and Catherine DeBuono would be a great Robbie as I have seen her in several lesbian roles.

Where can we find your novels?

My books are on Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk

What can we expect to see from you in the future?

Well a lot more lesbian stories for sure. I am currently working on a football themed story and also an explicit BDSM story that will soon be up for release. I have several other works on Amazon so check out my author page. Vampire Changeling, Pink Crush and The Submissive Scullery Maid seem to be the most popular choices.

Last question of randomness! If you could become a character from any book for a day, who would it be and why?

Well I love all of my characters good and evil but if I had to choose just one then I would choose Danny Cooper from Pink Crush. She is a female fire-fighter going through some dramatic scenarios.  I chose her because I dedicated this book to a female fire-fighter from Vancouver who was killed in a hit and run whilst she drove her motorbike on holiday in India. She was a big part of the gay community when she took part in the pride parade. Even though we never met on a personal level she has left an indent in my heart.

You can find out more about Shiralyn Lee on Twitter, Facebook and Amazon. Thank you for being here, Shiralyn, any parting words?

Please feel welcome to follow me on twitter and chat. I love to talk. Also if you purchase any of my work please leave a review on the Amazon site that you bought it from. Authors crave reviews.

Absolutely true! It’s been fantastic having you here Shiralyn 😀

This full length novel containing 79,000 words is about Danny Cooper; a female firefighter living in London, England. She meets a mystery girl and is instantly attracted to her, but unknown to Danny this girl (Izzy) is keeping a secret. She is a well known actress in her country and is undercover using Danny for research to gain insight into the lesbian world for her next movie. Danny is crushed when she discovers Izzy’s hidden agenda but through unusual circumstances soon finds a new love interest when she meets Sasha. But Danny has to be patient as Sasha has been trying to save her relationship with her girlfriend Deb’s; a girl who Danny has someone in common with.

Good Points

I loved the plot in this book. It is definitely not a genre I would normally read, and I admit I was apprehensive as to what kind of story was waiting behind the pages for me. After just a few pages in, I was hooked to the story. Danny to start with seems so fed-up with her life, and the character was raw and there for all to see, which made it more compelling from the first page. The pace was perfect, and unfolded the story scene by scene. I loved the dialogue between the characters, as it was very true to life, full of the usual slang people use rather than being very perfect and stylized, which made the story more realistic. There was also the strange mystery around the Izzy that kept me flicking the pages to find out what was going on! Without giving too much away, the romance that develops is not the one you think it will be! And it was charming to see how well it developed; you could really feel the love building between the two characters, not to mention with the heated sexual tension that built up!

Bad Points

I really hate to have bad points on such a good story, but the novel could really do with some more editing. There were parts that didn’t have commas or breaks for each character, so sometimes it was hard to work out who was talking, and if they were actually talking or if they were talking in their own heads. There were a few apostrophes in the wrong places as well, one at least in a chapter heading. It was a shame, but it really is a great story that could be made better with just a little editing.

Overall

I really enjoyed this book. It wasn’t what I thought it would be, and I was pleasantly surprised! The overall storyline was brilliant, with more than a few twists and turns in it, and the emotions really showed through strongly on the page, especially with the main character, Danny. I also loved Shiralyn Lee’s dedications to Cindy Kampmeinert and her wife, Janice, at the beginning were very touching. I would mark this book down on the editing, which unfortunately I can’t ignore, but I also loved the storyline, and thought overall it was a great book.

So, I would give this book…….3.5/5 stars! I would like to note it would easily be a 5 star, once the editing was taken care of.

CRAVING something hot and spicy?

Morning all! Wow, well I’ve had a busy week this week, so I apologise for the limited amount of posts I’ve put up. I’ve been writing like a mad-woman (because of course lunacy always helps you write, as everyone knows!), and I’ve visits from relatives, a book tour, sales stuff, all kinds of things!  But I’m popping one up today, although I’m going to be telling you all about my newest book, a collection of paranormal erotica-so please don’t read any further if you don’t like that sort of thing. I don’t want to be sued because your eyeballs melted away. 🙂

I’ll even put a little excerpt for you, how nice am I? 😉

Sex and the paranormal have always gone hand in hand, and these stories will delve into your deepest fears and fantasies….

CRAVING

TRAPPED

GIVING INTO TEMPTATION

HUNTING THE HUNTER
Having been alive longer than any other vampire she knows, Arielle has fought quite a few hunters in her time. But one night a hunter breaks in who catches her attention, and her desires…and a vampire’s desires may not always be what you want them to be…

Warning! This book contains graphic scenes of sex, mild BDSM scenes, some swearing, very hot and sexy men and women both paranormal and human, and just a sprinkle of cheekiness!

Craving

I have an unspeakable craving.

I’m not even sure that it is the craving I believe it is, but it keeps me awake at night, it makes me toss and turn and fling sweat-covered blankets to the floor.

The first time I felt it, I was watching a film with one of them starring in it. He was tall and sensuous, a wicked smile curving his perfectly formed lips. As his stormy blue eyes stared into the camera, I caught my breath, feeling as though he were looking straight at me, that strange twinge surprising me somewhere in my nether-regions.

My life became one of two halves. By daytime, I worked at my easy-going office job, chatting with oblivious friends, going for after-work drinks, the usual things, you know? But in my spare time, I poured over bookstore shelves for new tales about these mythical creatures; I hung around the kind of clubs that held their wannabes. I’m not sure why I went to those clubs. I suppose it was because I didn’t know where else to look, even if they were full of their poor imitations. In my heart of hearts, I knew they wouldn’t ever dream of hanging out in themed clubs, they were more likely to be found teaching your children, or in your local library.

But it was if they didn’t want me to find them. Well, why would they? What made me so special from all the other women who wanted to find one? And I knew that there must be other women who felt the same; I had seen them in those clubs, had read their books. But what I felt was more than a desire, a curious feeling that needed to be explored; I needed it, more than I needed water or air.

At night I would lie on my own in my bed, naked and on top of the sheets, squirming in anguish. Lying in the dark, I would close my eyes and imagine my night-time lover instead, using my own hands. I would let them roam over my soft breasts, rolling and pinching my nipples into hard points, sliding them across my rounded stomach. Letting my legs fall open, I would imagine his fingers probing gently into my warmth, sliding into the slickness with ease, pushing his fingers in and out; harder, faster. But it was no good; my hands were too soft, too feminine. I needed his hands, rough and firm, pinning me underneath him. And when I would drag my nails across my neck, it never really felt how I imagined their fangs would feel.

I decided I needed to get away from it all, maybe take a little break. Yes, that was what I needed, to take my mind off this ridiculous desire. I took a quick look online for hotels that were somewhere relaxing and peaceful, found a beautiful manor hotel in the countryside that promised “A welcoming and comfortable boutique hotel, surrounded by serene and relaxing countryside”. It sounded perfect.

When I arrived, I was taken aback by the stunning hotel before me. It truly was in the middle of nowhere, flanked only by an enormous forest of thick green trees. The taxi driver had taken about an hour and a half to get here, and nearly got lost along country roads that ended in nowhere. The manor itself was a Victorian beauty, great gothic windows and doors gaping from red-brick walls. Red-tinted ivy trailed its way up the front of the building, making it look as though it were trying to swallow it. I picked up my case, and began to walk along the crunching gravel driveway to the grand entrance.

The door was closed, but there was a doorbell, with a small, handwritten note above it that read, “Please ring for service’. I followed as the sign instructed, and waited patiently, clutching my holdall in my hands. A few seconds later, the door slowly opened wide, as did my jaw.

Stood in front of me was the most stunning male I had ever set eyes upon; a true figure from the lustful dreams of ladies. He stood about six-foot or more, built with sinewy muscle. A simple white shirt was covering his torso, a few buttons undone at the neck, dark blue jeans complementing it. A roguish smile was joined by two sparkling midnight blue eyes, framed by dark brown hair, messily arranged as if he had just risen from bed.

“Well, hello. You must be my guest for the weekend, yes?”

I blushed, my tongue suddenly struck dumb by his deep, rich tones. “Umm…yes…I am. Wait, I’m your guest? As in singular?”

He chuckled, stretching his arm up and leaning it against the door-frame, putting his other hand on his hip. I noticed how his stomach muscles shifted beneath that crisp shirt at the moment. “Yes, it’s a quiet weekend. But don’t worry; the service is still all up and running.”

I swallowed nervously, but managed to smile. He held his hand out in welcoming, offering it for me to shake. I shook myself mentally, gathering my senses. Why was I acting this way over a stranger? He was gorgeous, but it just wasn’t like me. Clearing my throat, I put my hand into his to shake it-

It was like a bolt of electricity had just shot up my arm. The feel of his rough palm against mine made pinpricks of heat spread across my cheeks, the thought of them sliding against my legs made dampness grow between them, my insides doing a double flip. Thoughts of his curving lips against them even, his tongue sliding into delicious places…

I snapped back into reality, becoming acutely aware that I was still standing shaking his hand like an idiot. Glancing back up at his mischievously smiling face, I wondered if had felt it too. There was a dark glint in his eyes that said maybe he might have…

…My room was perfect. It was a beautiful recreation of a Victorian bedroom. to match the rest of the house. The walls were painted a deep red, covered with large works of art from various painters. A huge four-poster dominated the room, covered in swathes of fabric, and a heavy coverlet embroidered with a complicated pattern of shapes. A luxurious carpet covered the floor, soft and inviting, an antique-looking Turkish rug in front of a tiled fireplace.

I pulled a short, silky nightgown out of my holdall; I hadn’t bothered to unpack it as there wasn’t much to unpack, and I was only here for the weekend. Sliding the cool fabric over my head, I felt my nipples tighten as it brushed them, and I thought of the hotel-owner’s hands again. That familiar urge began to return, and I wondered if it had been such a good idea to come here after all.

Ignoring my own body, I crawled into the soft bed, lying back against the fluffed pillows, and allowed my mind to drift into the realms of sleep…

It was the hotel-owner again. But he had taken his shirt off now, and was stood next to my bed in nothing but his jeans. He stared down at me with his deep eyes, that smirk still gracing his lips-but there was something more passionate about it now, something…hungry. I tried to move, but it was like moving through quicksand. I decided to lay still, a feeling of peace and calm falling over me.

He sat himself on the side of the bed, and raised his hand towards me, running it along the length of my jawline. That small touch gave me that electrified feeling again, making me gasp in reply. He chuckled, a dark sound in the silence between us, and rubbed his thumb along my lips, making me close my eyes in pleasure.

“Poor girl,” he soothed, “you’ve had such a longing for such a long time, haven’t you? An ache that won’t go away; no matter what you do?”

All I could do was nod, dumbly. I was beginning to see that there was something about him, something…that I desperately needed. My hips arched towards him, begging him for more, pleading with him. He noticed the movement, and raised an eyebrow towards them. Leaning back, he placed his rough hand on my thigh, the exquisite touch exactly what I needed. He hitched in a breath as his hand slid along my leg, pushing up just the edge of the nightgown, teasing me.

But then his hand stopped.

I whimpered in agony, wishing my arms would move fast enough for me to push his hand back, to make him touch me again. He simply licked his lips, allowing me a brief flash of the fangs I already knew were there. Still staring at me with undisguised lust, he gently picked up my hand, raising it to his mouth. He laid a soft kiss on the back of my knuckles, before turning it over slowly. He bared his sharp canines, sinking them deeply into my wrist.

I screamed, from pain. This wasn’t at all how I imagined it to be, tearing away at my flesh like fire running through my veins. Without missing a beat, he moved his other hand over to the peaks straining against the top of my nightgown; softly rubbing them over and over with his thumb in agonising circles. He pinched one gently, just how I had imagined in my feverish day-dreams, making me suck in a breath and moan, surprising even myself. I realised that the drawing pain in my wrist had become a pleasurable ache, and intensely erotic as my blood dribbled over the sides onto the cover below…
